After Damians's Oracle: I love the characters the most! Lizzy Ford has an amazing way of making them all seem 3 dimensional. Even the minor characters like Linda are wonderfully written. The relationship between Damian, Dustin, and Jule is so great that they're like brothers. Sophia had her weak moments in the beginning but I would too if touching someone let me see all that they had done and how they would die. That's why many Oracles before her had gone crazy. She battles through it though and shows strength, bravery, loyalty, and love.
With a different take on the fight between good and evil, the storyline and plot are creative. Parts of the book move very quickly and had my heart racing. A few twists took me completely by surprise. The romance didn't seem forced or too graphic (thankfully) as is the trend right now. It's nice to know you don't need it to write an amazing series
I purchased the boxed set of all 4 books as it was on sale for $0.99 but I would have gladly paid full price for each one. I cannot wait to read more about these wonderful characters.

After Damian's Assasin: Damian's assassin, Dustin, is ruthless, intense, and a little ocd. When he meets Bianca, a natural healer, they appear to be polar opposites. He can barely take care of himself and she took care of her father and younger brother Johnny. His emotions are guarded while she wears her heart on her sleeve. He decorates in black and white and keeps his home spotless while she is full of energy and color and enjoys cooking but not cleaning. After spending some time together, Dusty starts to open up to Bianca. They don't get too much time together though because EVERYTHING seems to be going wrong in Dusty's territory. With Damian and Jule trying to clean up Europe, things in North America became a million times worse. While trying to fix the evil caused by Czerno and his son Talon, Dusty still has to worry about Darian. Darian is a MESS - no longer the white god they once knew - he's now a moody, suicidal, rebellious grey god. Sophi and Bianca do their best to start to heal him and although he's still not back to normal, by the end of this book we can see quite a bit of growth in him.
This book was FULL of action. Although Sophi is an Oracle and we know what will happen in the future, it was still fun to read through the intense action scenes to see it all play out. Now, with a new Black god, limited powers, Jule still stuck in Ireland, a pregnant Oracle, and a teenage grey god, I can only image how crazy book 3 will be!!!!

After Damian's Immortal: I agree with a lot of other reviewers... this book felt much shorter than the first 2 in the series but it was still very good!
Jule is coincidentally "stuck" in Ireland and asked by a Watcher to kill a Magician who is powerful enough to open the portal between the immortal and mortal world. Jule finds the magician but she's not the evil woman the Watcher implied she would be. He finds Yully; she's an innocent and talented girl who's been raised by an Other with a dark purpose. Jule then begins to doubt the Watcher, hate the Other, and seek out an Original to help him remember his past, restore his power, and save Yully.
It's a whirlwind of a journey that brings many of the previous characters together. When the gods of Good and Evil are willing to call a truce and team up, you know the Watchers and Others are a serious threat. I cannot wait to read the final book in this series to see how it all ends!

After The Grey God:The finale to the War of the Gods series definitely did not disappoint. Darian has come such a long way from his fall as the White God, to living as a slave of the Black God, then to his rightful role as the Grey God. He's overcome betrayal, abuse, and torture and become a stronger man because of his past. It's so amazing that Jenn finally realized how special he is. Jenn ran away from her past and pushed away anyone and anything that would make her "feel" again. It's easier for her to be a super spy with no emotions than to let her guard down and experience love. I also like that thier's is a love that grew and wasn't instantaneous. It's based on trust, loyalty, and passion. Both of these characters deserve their happy ending.
This book makes Darian choose between the mortal and immortal worlds. His brothers were captured so they cannot help him make the difficult decision. Luckily, their capable and strong mates are there to help. Sophi guides them all along the way, Bianca heals and saves them when needed, Yully helps Darian close the portal between the worlds, and Jenn is there to fight along side him until the end.

In conclusion: The first book was my favorite with the last as a close second! I'm sad to see this series end but it did solidify the fact that I love Lizzy Ford. She's one of those authors whose books I will purchase and read without ever reading the synopsis. I know she works magic with the written word and I cannot wait to see what else she has in store. READ THIS SERIES! You won't be disappointed.

War of Gods Box Set edition by Lizzy Ford Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews

This series thrust you a world of immortals, gods, eternal wars and choices. The romance in this is book is emotionally charged with physical glimpses. If you are looking for heavy physical romances this is not for you but if are a a fan of deep romances this is one you may want to check out. The characters are developed well and the storyline is defined. The struggle between light vs dark, the consequences of the choices we make and how Love may just come when least expected and not necessarily entirely welcome but when it comes sometimes you may just have to accept fate.
All four of the War of Gods books together in one collection. I didn't blurb these because they've actually been out on their own for awhile, so just some reactions instead...

The first book in the set Damian's Oracle was pretty good. I'd actually gotten that book as a freebie, but at .99 for this set I thought it was worth it to get this too. Glad I did because this first book has a 'soft' ending and I would be going nuts if I didn't have the next one.

I liked the second book Damian's Assassin too, its nice that the characters carry through the stories, with a different pair in the lead this time though. It was odd to have the love scene totally left out (with a skip to the morning after and a sated heroine) but there was enough interesting things happening to make me want to read the other two books.

I liked Jule's book Damian's Immortal too and his heroine. So, three for three. These are light but still enjoyable, though I am happy that I am reading them as a set, because they do really go together."

The final book The Gray God sort of wrappers the whole series, it starts out by going back in time before Darian's betrayal and finishes off with his HEA and a big finish that decides the fate of the world. I liked it even more than the rest because there is so much going on, even though the Darian and his heroine don't spend much time together in the book.

I guess one thing that I have like about the books is that all of the heroines were great and they all get a decent amount of screen time. The books are odd for me though because all though there are elements of sensuality in some of the stories there isn't an on screen consummation in any of them - I would have like just a tiny bit of in the moment I don't need messy details but I'd have liked the emotional connection that moves the relationship forward. But it wasn't a show stopper for me.

So bottom line is that this was a entertaining collection at a fabulous price (.99 for all four) and I will definitely check out more from Ford.
