This was a very good read! Temperance has led a very rough & hard life from the beginning. With a father who drank and a spoiled sister who thinks she can do whatever she wants. Cody & Temperance adopted Patience and raised her as their very own daughter. Cody is a US Marshall who loves Patience as his own in time he & Temperance have 2 more children. Before they are born Patience gives them so much trouble that Cody takes Patience to show her something that totally changes her life & makes a new person out of her. He tells her its her choice if she tells his wife Temperance but he won't because he knows it will make her mad. But what he did made Patience a totally new person. Over time & some circumstances Patience tells Temperance what Cody did & begs her not to say anything to him because he only did it to turn her life around. But Temperance gets mad & tells him she is afraid of him which isnt true at all. She is just mad at him. He packs his clothes & leaves his home he feels he can't stay there if she is afraid of him. Patience goes after him begging him to come home, tells him she loves him he is her pa & she cant lose another one. He refuses because he said Temperance was afraid of him & he would only come home if she asks him too! Patience tells Temperance she needs to call him. She does later that day only to find out he has left on assignment & they aren't sure when he will be back. She calls several times to see if there is any word only to be told no word yet. The next day she is called by another US Marshall and told her husband has been shot & it doesnt look good at all. 1 Marshal was killed & he is severely injured. She leaves immediately to go to his side, so afraid he will die before she can apologize and tell him she loves him. She arrives at the hospital to find out he may not make it. All she can do is cry afraid she will lose him. Does she lose him or does he survive? You will have to read the book to find out! This was such an interesting read, and I highly recommend it! I already know the outcome but you don't get your book today to see what happens in the end!Product details

This book is a continuation of the lives of Cody, TEMPERANCE and Patience. They are on a good size ranch they were blessed to buy. Patience is now thirteen and she is acting up in school and getting mighty mouthy and disobedient to Cody and TEMPERANCE. I will leave it at that you will want to see how their story ends. You will enjoy this book I know I did very much. CODY was a brave man taking on Patience to raise as his own.
